11:33 pm	FO: Pasha and the pattern is Knitty's Pasha Such a quick and fun knit! It went so fast I barely have a memory of doing it at all. Even the finishing/aka sewing on of appendages went fast. And he' SO cute! Its going to kill me to give him away! But he's a graduation gift, due on Tuesday. I have no idea if the grad likes penguins, but black and yellow are the school's colors.... I went for a taller, more stately penguin rather than pudgy like in Knitty's pic. I guess I was thinking of a grad's proud posture as they walk (waddle?) down the aisle. Cross posted to my journal. 6:28 pm	blocking with Caron's Simply Soft Hi all, Has anyone blocked Caron's Simply Soft? When I block I use a warm iron and a damp towel. I'm wanting to block a scarf made with simply soft using the Seafoam Stitch:, so its very airy. Thanks! P.S. 12:00 am	FO: cabled hat 2 I know multi-colored yarn isn't the best way to showcase cables, but, I LOVE CABLES, and this pattern, though you can't see them really well in this picture you can see them in person and it was much more fun to do than all stockinette stitch. 1:20 am	Milwaukee Area Knitters: Nice Sale Hi friends, Kro-Sha a nice little yarn shop with great yarn on 49th and Vliet is moving and has EVERYTHING in the store at 20% off this week! If you go check out the Mexican Wave. Its 4$ a skein (reg. price), 100% acrylic but really soft and with really really cool colorways - it changes color ever so subtly. Beth (the owner) has a cute baby sweater knit in it hanging next to it, which she'll give you the pattern for if ou ask. Its knit all in one piece. 10:19 pm	Lots of needles, mystery needles and happy yarn purchase Hi friends, A friend's mom, who is a lifetime knitter, cleaned out her knitting needles when she moved from a house to an apartment. I am the lucky recipient of over 100 pairs of needles! Its like Christmas around here!!! I sorted them all out by size to see what I got...here they are ...they are on the left, the ones I already had are on the right.
